Capital Welcomes newest coaching staff member
Coming off a record setting 2011 season the Capital University Women's Soccer coaching staff just got a bit stronger as they start working for a repeat performance in 2012. This week we added Jeremiah Gallegos to our staff and his experience is going to be a tremendous asset to the program.
Jeremiah, who is from Dana Point, California, played his collegiate soccer at the University of Cincinnati. He was the Bearcats Freshman of the Year in 2001 and the Team MVP in 2003 & 2004. In 2005 Jeremiah was selected for the MLS Super Draft where he was chosen by the L.A. Galaxy. Following his playing career with the Galaxy he began coaching with the Mill Valley Soccer Club in 2007. In 2010 Gallegos was an assistant coach for the College of Marin in Marin, California and he also was a camp coach for the University of California at Berkeley.
According to Coach Kouns "I know that Jeremiah is going to be a great addition to the staff. He comes to us with glowing reviews from his previous coaches and I know that the players will certainly benefit from working with him in the coming year."
