We would like to officially
welcome Melissa Spurbeck to the Capital Women's Soccer Family! Melissa is a 4 year letter winner as a Defender
who comes to us from Pataskala, Ohio and Watkins Memorial High School where she
was coached by Alex Stout. She
also plays her club soccer for the Freedom Soccer Club coached by Capital
Assistant Ian Pena.
Melissa competed in high school
soccer for four years and enjoyed tremendous athletic success including leading
her team as a four year letter winner and earning a host of individual awards
listed below!
In the 2009 – 2010 WMHS season
she earned:
- Watkins Memorial Solid and Steady Award
In the 2010 – 2011 WMHS season
she earned:
- All-OCC Special Mention honors
In the 2011 – 2012 WMHS season
she earned:
- 2nd
Team All-OCC honors
- Watkins Memorial Team Captain
In the 2012 – 2013 WMHS season
she earned:
- Watkins Memorial Team Captain
- Watkins Memorial Hardworking Award
